Your data all syncs. If you are on our software-based platform, you can only use and activate it on one device.
Does "Crack the NBDE" have a pass or score guarantee?As a testament to showing you how much we care for your success on the Dental Boards, we provide all of our dental students with a pass guarantee! The overarching goal of our Dental Board mock tests is for you to simulate and determine if you have the knowledge and skillset to pass the real exam. Therefore, our mock tests serve as a litmus test and barometer for you to gauge if you are ready. If you didn’t pass our tests the first time around this is a strong indicator that you are unprepared and unready and require more studying. Hence, if you demonstrate that you have taken our exams under actual testing conditions with passing scores the first time around, and still do not pass on the real actual exam, we will credit you back. How can I access my NBDE account?All orders past 2019 can be accessed here from your PC/MAC/iPhone/iPad.
You can also access your account from the all-new Crack the NBDE sidekick companion mobile app for your iPhone/iPad and Android.
If you cannot login, reset your password. If the system doesn't remember your email address or user name, then you may have a legacy outdated software (2005-2018) that is out of warranty and we are no longer servicing; and you would need to upgrade to the new web-based and mobile platform.
Will I be able to pause the test?The objective and purpose of "Crack the NBDE" is to help you simulate the NBDE exam under realistic conditions. In our web-based platform, you can click on the timer at the top right to pause it. On the software platform, we do not provide this capability.
Where do I view the explanations in my package?Before you launch a test, you can choose between ACTUAL TESTING CONDITIONS and PRACTICE MODE. In ACTUAL TESTING MODE, it will enable you to simulate the exam just as you would at the test center with a timer (cool tip: you can pause the timer by clicking on it). And once you complete the test, your answers and explanations are shown at the end of the test. You can then view your performance on the Saved Test Results where you can view the answers and explanations. In PRACTICE MODE, this is like a training bicycle. There is no countdown timer and you can check your answers after every question. We recommend taking the tests in ACTUAL TESTING CONDITIONS as that’s how it is administered on the actual test day.
What is the correlation of my practice scores vs real test?We do NOT collect any of your practice examination scores on "Crack the NBDE". Furthermore, many students do not report to us their final NBDE Scores.Therefore, we cannot make any direct correlations. What we can say is that over the past decade, the students that have prepared for the National Board Dental Examination after incorporating "Crack the NBDE" into their preparation regimen have achieved stellar scores. They often report back to us with great testimonials praising us for "Crack the NBDE" after they have taken the National Board Dental Examination. Historically, "Crack the NBDE" has been one of the best predictors of your actual National Board Dental Examination. Generally, based on past records, if you can pass Crack the NBDE, you should pass the actual National Board Dental Examination. Our questions tend to fall more on the rigorous side and students have tended to score several points higher on the actual exam, but this can vary depending on numerous factors.
Because "Crack the NBDE" provides the most enriching and realistic experience for the National Board Dental Examination mimicking and mirroring the exact testing platform which you will experience on test day, dental students are very quick to suggest "Crack the NBDE" as one of the best resources. If you have talked to a student who has taken the National Board Dental Examination, it is highly likely they have used "Crack the NBDE".
We cannot predict what the National Board Dental Examination will present you on test day, so our team has devised a variety of questions to cover the spectrum of questions they may ask. As a result, you are well-prepared if they throw you a curve ball. By mastering how the testing interface works and simulating a test under actual testing conditions, you will become more efficient and confident in your skills. Through your progression with "Crack the NBDE", you will see an improvement in your performance.
How are my exam scores tabulated?The grading rubric is based on the only released document that outlines raw score conversion to a standard score for each section. That is, the number of questions received correct is converted to a scaled score. Because this is the only document to our disposal that reveals the scoring scale to date, we were obliged to use this rubric to calculate your score per section. We do our best to provide you with an accurate analysis of your performance based upon what we were given and we hope it will prove invaluable in your preparation to conquer the exam. Generally, students have found our practice exams to be more challenging and tend to score roughly 8-13 points higher on the actual exam. Therefore, do not get discouraged with the scores you receive on Crack the NBDE, but use it as a tool to help you assess your time management, strengths and weaknesses as well as aiding you in navigating around the testing module. If the exam report says you passed our mock exam, it should give you a signal of confidence that you will pass the actual NBDE too. Our software will also enable you to compare how you performed on each test relative to other students across the world.
If you ordered the older software that gets installed on your computer between 2005-2018, the program will no longer work come December 31, 2019. Further, your warranty has expired as you receive 6 months of support/warranty from time of order. In order to continue service and receive assistance from our team, you will have to upgrade to the all-new 2020 Crack the NBDE in order to renew your support and extended warranty plan and onboard to our latest platform to receive the latest features to help you ace your Dental Admission Test.
The 2005-2018 products and service will be discontinued and NOT supported come December 31, 2019 due to huge changes and shifts in technology, rise in costs, unfeasibility and unviability of sustaining old and outdated infrastructure, and a change in focus to deliver the best NBDE course possible.
Note again that we will not be able to provide support outside of warranty as the product has reached its end of life.
•If you placed an order between 2005-2018, then the software platform you are using is legacy, outdated and not supported as the original framework was built in 2005. It is impossible for us to keep up with older technology as it moves very fast. Ay changes on computer, files, operating system updates or requirements, or something unknown to us either can render the program non-functional. We cannot maintain a viable model by troubleshooting or supporting each individual's systems, configurations and legacy products anymore (especially when your older product is outside its 6 months warranty period from time of order). As such, the legacy software platform was pulled off our product line last year. As always, we are committed to maintaining our products’ legendary reliability, and so we continually develop and improve our product line. As our products and technologies evolve, we find that older software versions and products don't deliver the significant advantages of our current products. Our focus is entirely on the future going 'cloud' and web-based.
•All orders come with 6 months of warranty. We simply don’t provide support outside of this period. If your ordered more than 6 months ago you will need to obtain the latest and newest 2020 Crack the NBDE

•The 2005-2018 software platform is officially being decommissioned on December 31, 2019 as we've provided nearly 15 years of continual updates (at no charge) and unlimited access (for the life of this old outdated platform and service).

What does this mean for me?
•If you ordered Crack the NBDE between 2005-2018, then your membership terminates on December 31, 2019.
•Option #1: You can continue using the software platform you have physically installed on your computer up until December 31, 2019. This legacy platform will be permanently terminated and will neither be accessible nor supported after December 31, 2019. Further, all previous memberships and orders will be 'out of warranty' during this period as there's six months of included warranty/support from the time of your order. As such, if you contact us in 2020, you will not receive a response or assistance on orders on this legacy platform as the product has ran its course, and your warranty/support has expired in addition to receiving this formal notice.
Therefore, should you need access in 2020 and beyond, you should consider upgrading to the latest and greatest 2020 web-based platform that's an entirely new product enables us to keep up with technology in order to help deliver you the best NBDE Dental Boards course prep.
